DR. NATASHA DONNELLY, APN, MSc, MSN, PMHNP-BC, Ph.D., MILLENNIUM FELLOW
Natasha Donnelly is a PMHNP-BC, APRN, PG. Cert Ed. with a Ph.D. in Sociology specializing in
Suicide Prevention—author of Splendid Strategies. Natasha is the owner of the Cedar Oaks Clinic
PLLC which has developed a new model of collaborative care with a multidisciplinary team of 15.
She is also an active Faculty Consultant for Duke University, North Carolina. Natasha is a
passionate mental health advocate and was a proud recipient of the Mind Millennium Fellowship.
This is a lifetime achievement award by the Millennium Commission for her work involving
developing new mental health strategies. Natasha trained at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital/ City
University, London, Reading University, and as a PMHNP-BC at East Carolina University in NC.
Natasha has enjoyed many years of working in psychiatric settings with at-risk populations,
including children and adults, in England, Africa, and now the USA. Natasha has collaborated
actively in many statewide multi-disciplinary initiatives in North Carolina and England. She was
proud to be an advisor for England's first National Suicide Prevention Strategy and well as being the lead researcher on the UK's first research study reviewing suicides in college and university student populations. She was a University Lecturer for 6 years in the UK before moving to NC.
As well as enjoying her patient time diagnosing and prescribing as a PMHNP-BC, Natasha is
passionate about designing initiatives to promote Trauma-Informed/Focused Care and reducing the risk of workplace and community violence. She has been involved in therapeutic designs of indoor and outdoor spaces since 2004. In 2018, Natasha founded the charity, TFTC Gardens, to design therapeutic spaces to promote resiliency skills for those living with emotional challenges, including addiction. Natasha served as a Board Member of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and an advisor for the Legacy Committee for the new Dix Park in Raleigh, NC. She is a seasoned conference presenter. Natasha serves as a board member for the North Carolina Nurses Association Council and has worked with the psych council team to organize three psychiatric nursing state conferences and the implementation of a statewide Stress First Aid initiative.
DR. PAUL TROMBLEY, MD, FAAP
Dr. Trombley is a native of Detroit, Michigan. After moving to Memphis Tennessee, he attended
Christian Brothers University in Memphis and graduated Summa Cum Laude and valedictorian of the School of Science with a bachelor’s degree in biology with minors in Chemistry and History. He attended medical school at the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences in Memphis, TN on an academic scholarship.
Earning his Medical Doctorate in 1996, he initially entered psychiatric residency training at the
University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Trombley next attended the University of South
Alabama in Mobile, Alabama, where he completed pediatric residency training, in 2002. While there, he was specially recognized with the 2002 Best Resident Grand Rounds Award for original research.
Dr. Trombley is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and has practiced primary care pediatrics as well as pediatric emergency medicine for years before returning to complete fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the prestigious University Hospitals/Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, completing training in 2011. While there, he also served as clinical faculty at the ationally recognized Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital as a faculty clinical instructor in Pediatrics in the Department of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Trombley is also Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology for both Psychiatry and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He is one of the few nationally recognized, triple Board-Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists, and the only one in Western North Carolina.
Dr. Trombley is an honored Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 2005 and is a
member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
DR. ANGIE K. TROMBLEY, DNP, APRN, MSN, RN, PMHNP/BC
Angie is a native of Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England. She began nursing studies at
Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, England, working as a care assistant within a community based residential for people with chronic mental illness during her studies. Emigrating to the UnitedStates, she continued her studies and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Excelsior College in NewYork State where she earned her RN degree.
She went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Excelsior College earning a Bachelors of Sciencein Nursing in 2008. She then earned a Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of
Missouri in 2011. She became Board Certified as an Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in 2011.
From there, Angie went on to complete graduate nursing studies at the University of Missouri,
attaining a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in 2013. She has subsequently Board Certified by
the American Nursing Credentialing Center as a Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, allowing
her to see and treat the entire lifespan from children to the elderly.
From 2013-2017, she served as an adjunct professor at the University of South Alabama in the
Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Program, where she supported PMHNP students in their
clinical courses. She proudly served as a full-time clinical assistant professor for the PMHNP
program at East Carolina University from 2018-2020. Angie is now an assistant professor and
Director of the Post Masters Doctor of Nursing Program and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse
Practitioner Program at Western Carolina University.
Angie has also proudly served in the United States Air Force as a Reserve Officer, attaining the
rank of Captain as a commissioned officer in our military. Where she served as a mental health
program coordinator and developed a suicide prevention program for 1,800 troops.
Angie serves as the Chair of the North Carolina Nurses' Association Council and has worked
with the psych council team to organize three psychiatric nursing state conferences and the
implementation of a statewide Stress First Aid initiative.
Research interests include reducing stigma and bias within mental health care, reducing health
care disparities, promoting wellbeing in health care and within nursing.

2004 - Awarded a three-year Department of Health Section 64 Grant to fund a
new mental health charity for students with a focus on innovative mental health
initiatives including online resources.
2004 - Awarded a full scholarship from the UK's Economic and Social Research
Council (ESRC) in order to complete my Masters and PhD which were
considered studies of national significance for future suicide prevention
initiatives both at national and international level.
2003 - Scarman Trust, Social Entrepreneur/ Community Champion Award for
